Terms and Conditions of Pool Hire

at Mill Farm,

Conditions of Hire

1. Contract of hire

The hiring contract shall be between Mill Farm NK Ltd and the lead person who makes the booking and shall deemed to be made subject to these conditions of hire. Unauthorised use of the facilities is not permitted. Each booking is accepted on the understanding that all visitors acknowledge adherence to these rules and conditions of hire.

2. Safety

No lifeguard or video surveillance is provided.
Anyone using the facilities does so at their own risk.
There must always be a responsible/competent adult swimmer present when children are present. Adults must be able to care for children in the event that an adult has an accident.
Adults in the group must have a mobile phone to contact emergency services if required, as the owners may not always be available.
Users have a duty of care for their guests.
Maximum of 10 in the pool at any one time, unless children under 2 then it is on a 1 to 1 basis and would be a maximum of 12 in the pool at any one time. (eg 6 adults and 6 children under the age of 2 years)
Adult- child ratios:- Babies under 2 years of age 1 adult – 1 Baby Children aged 2 to 3 years 1 adult – 2 children (wearing floatation aids) Children aged 4-7 years 1 adult to every 3 children (wearing floatation aids if needed) 8 years and above no supervision in the pool but there needs to be at least 2 responsible adults on the poolside at all times. Adults must be aged 18 years and above
No Diving into pool. (Max depth of the pool 1.4m)
In the event of an accident or incident, please notify the owners, so that a record can be made in the accident book.
Do not allow a person within the group who may have a contagious illness to swim.
No unauthorised access to the plant room or store at the rear of the building.
No alcohol to be consumed on the premises.
No glass bottles or containers of any description to be taken poolside.
No food to be taken or consumed poolside.

3. Loss and Injury

Mill Farm NK Ltd will not be held liable for any injury, illness, accident or loss or damage to property, however caused, directly or indirectly in or out of the Bathing Pool.

4. Consideration for other members

Hirers are kindly requested to leave the facilities as they would wish to find them.
The allotted session includes time for changing. Please clear the building by the end of your session time. (1 hour 15 minutes)
No outdoor footwear is allowed into the changing room or around the pool. (if spectating please remove shoes or place blue plastic covers over shoes)
Shower before entering the pool as this reduces the need for extra chemicals in the pool.
Young children still using nappies must wear swim nappies. Used nappies to be taken home by carers.
Please park in the car park unless other arrangements have been made with the owner.

5. Damage

All damages and breakages must be reported immediately to the owners.

6. Additional terms

Only responsible persons over the age of 18 years can book the pool.
The proprietors retain the right to cancel a session without notice.
Strictly no smoking in or around the premises.
No sub-letting.
Individuals or groups can be refused bookings for non-compliance with these terms.

7. Lone swimmers

We actively discourage lone swimmers from using the pool. However, in exceptional circumstances, being reassured that they fully accept the risks; there being, no lifeguard or video surveillance and that there is no-one to come to their aid, should they get into difficulties, we allow exceptions on this understanding.

8. Refunds and Cancellations

Booked Sessions can be refunded if notified in advance of the session.
